How we're different
There's plenty of gut-health information out there. We try to fill the gap in the middle.
| Where people usually look | The gap | What Gut Pop does |
|---|---|---|
| Official health sites | Trustworthy, but can feel clinical and rarely include recipes | The same care with facts, in a friendlier voice, with recipes |
| Social media gut-health trends | Fun and fast, but often full of hype and unproven claims | Still fun, but every claim is backed by a source |
| Brand blogs | Usually written to sell that brand's own products | A fair market guide that names other brands and shows DIY options |
| Big overseas health publishers | Written for other countries' guidelines and shops | Australian guidelines, brands on our shelves, Australian spelling |
How we write
- Sources first. Facts and figures link to the research paper or official guideline they come from, listed at the end of each article.
- Australian guidelines. Where advice differs between countries, we use Australian guidelines such as the NHMRC's.
- No miracle claims. We don't say any food, drink or product treats or cures a condition.
- Not paid by brands. When we name other brands in our product guide, they're examples, not ads.
- Our own products are labelled. When Gut Pop products launch, we'll always mark them clearly as ours.
- Kept up to date. Every article shows the date it was last updated, and we fix mistakes when we find them.
